Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Smart Expense Tracker ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Smart Expense Tracker is a personal finance dashboard that lets you record income and expenses, import bank statements, and view reports and charts summarizing your spending. It is provided for personal budgeting and record-keeping purposes.

Account Registration

You sign in using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can access your Smart Expense Tracker data. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store data you don't have the right to store.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data, or bypass Row Level Security or other access controls.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service's infrastructure (including the underlying Supabase or hosting provider).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without permission.

Your Content & Data

You retain ownership of the transaction data you enter or import. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the amounts, categories, and descriptions you record. We do not verify your financial data against any bank or external source.

Financial Disclaimer

Smart Expense Tracker is a record-keeping and visualization tool only. It is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, or tax advice. Insights, forecasts, and "health" scores shown on the dashboard are simple calculations based on the data you enter and should not be relied on for financial decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for financial advice.

Availability & Changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, or temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, without prior notice. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third parties — including Google Sign-In, Supabase, and Cloudflare Pages — to operate. We are not responsible for outages, data handling practices, or changes made by these third parties that affect the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smart Expense Tracker and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or financial decisions made based on information shown in the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out or requesting account deletion. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms.

Governing Law

This project is developed and operated from India. These Terms are governed by, and should be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
